Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement
Our publication ethics and malpractice statement is based on the guidelines for journal editors
developed by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
Manuscripts submitted to the Range Management and Agroforestry Journal are evaluated
entirely on the basis of their scientific content. There are no publication charges.
All possible measures are taken to uphold the highest standards of publication ethics
and to prevent malpractices.
Authors submitting manuscripts attest that their work is original, unpublished, and not under
consideration for publication elsewhere. Authors also confirm that their paper has not been
copied or plagiarized, in whole or in part, from other works. Where the work of others has been
used, appropriate citation or quotation has been provided.
Duties and Responsibilities of Editors
The Editorial Team of the Range Management and Agroforestry Journal, comprising the
Editorial Board and the Committee for Publications, is responsible for deciding which
manuscripts submitted to the journal should be published.
Editors have complete discretion to accept or reject a manuscript. Editorial decisions are
based solely on the scholarly merit and intellectual content of the manuscript, without
discrimination on the basis of gender, race, religion, ethnic origin, citizenship, or
political philosophy of the authors.
The journal follows a policy of fair play. Editors must ensure that they have no conflict
of interest with respect to the manuscripts they handle. Editors and editorial staff
are required to maintain strict confidentiality and must not disclose any information
about a submitted manuscript to anyone other than the corresponding author, reviewers,
or the publisher.
Authors are encouraged to correct errors identified during the review process while
preserving the anonymity of reviewers.
Duties and Responsibilities of Reviewers
Editorial decisions are based on peer review. Reviewers are expected to maintain absolute
confidentiality regarding the contents of manuscripts under review.
Reviews should be conducted objectively, and reviewers should express their views clearly
with supporting arguments. Reviewers must declare any conflict of interest and should
not review manuscripts where such conflicts exist.
Reviewers should identify relevant published work that has not been cited by the authors
and report any substantial similarity or overlap between the manuscript under review and
other published work.
Information or ideas obtained through peer review must be kept confidential and must not
be used for personal advantage.
Duties and Responsibilities of Authors
Authors are required to present an accurate account of their original research and an
objective discussion of its significance. Manuscripts should include sufficient details
and appropriate references to the existing literature.
All listed authors must have made a significant contribution to the research. Fraudulent
or knowingly inaccurate statements constitute unethical behavior and are unacceptable.
Authors must ensure that their work is original and has not been published elsewhere.
Proper acknowledgment of the work of others must always be given. Submitting the same
manuscript to more than one journal simultaneously is considered unethical.
Authorship should be limited to those who have made significant contributions to the work.
All contributors who meet the criteria for authorship should be listed as co-authors.
Others who contributed in a limited way should be acknowledged appropriately.
The corresponding author is responsible for ensuring that all co-authors have approved
the final version of the manuscript and agreed to its submission. All sources of financial
support must be disclosed.
If a significant error is discovered in a published work, authors are obligated to notify
the editors promptly and cooperate in the correction or retraction of the paper.
